AI automation agency in Bangladesh: what to automate first, what it costs, and how to pick one

Most businesses in Dhaka don't have a traffic problem. They have a reply problem.

A customer sends "price?" on Facebook at 11:40pm. Nobody answers until 10am. By then they've ordered from the page that answered in two minutes. Multiply that by forty messages a day and you have the real reason sales are flat.

That gap is what an AI automation agency should close first. Not a fancy dashboard. Not a chatbot that says "Hello! How can I help you today?" and nothing useful after that.

This guide is written from the inside. I've built automation for an online bookstore, an e-commerce brand and an EdTech company with three sister businesses, and I now run Arwahyn. Here's what actually moves the numbers in Bangladesh, what it costs, and how to tell a real agency from someone reselling a template.

What an AI automation agency actually does

Strip away the buzzwords and the job has three parts.

1. Answer every customer fast, on the channels they already use: Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, your website and the phone.
2. Move data without copy-paste. An order on your website should appear in your sheet or CRM, go to the courier, and trigger an SMS or WhatsApp update, with no one retyping it.
3. Follow up until there's a decision. Leads that don't buy today get a reminder tomorrow, a useful message in three days, and a human call when they're ready.

AI is the part that reads a messy message ("vai 2 ta M size blue ase? COD hobe?") and understands it. Automation is the plumbing that does the rest. You need both.

The five jobs worth automating first

Start where money leaks. In almost every Bangladeshi business I've audited, it's one of these.

1. First reply on Messenger and WhatsApp

An AI agent trained on your products, prices and policies answers in Bangla, English or Banglish within seconds, day and night. It collects the size, address and phone number, and hands the chat to a person when the customer asks or when it isn't sure.

2. Order confirmation and fake COD control

Every COD order gets an automatic WhatsApp or call confirmation before it ships. Customers who don't confirm get flagged. This one flow usually pays for the whole project, because a returned parcel costs you delivery both ways.

Two things to watch. First, the running cost is mostly AI and messaging usage, and it should be billed to your accounts so you can see it. Second, if someone quotes ৳5,000 for "AI automation", ask what happens when it breaks. Cheap setups usually have no error alerts, so you find out a week later when customers complain.

How to tell a real AI automation agency from a reseller

Ask these seven questions on the first call.

1. "Can you show me a live system you built, with numbers?" A screenshot of a chatbot isn't proof. A before/after metric is.
2. "Whose account will this run on?" The right answer is yours: your Meta Business account, your WhatsApp number, your AI billing.
3. "What happens when a workflow fails at 2am?" You want to hear "it retries, then alerts us and you". Silence is the wrong answer.
4. "Will the bot answer in Banglish?" Most Bangladeshi customers type Banglish. Test it on the call.
5. "When does the bot hand over to a person?" There must be a clear rule, for example on complaints, payment issues or low confidence.
6. "Who will I talk to after launch?" If it's a different junior every month, your knowledge walks out with them.
7. "What do I get if we stop working together?" Documentation and full access. Nothing should stop running.

A realistic timeline

• Week 1: a call, a written plan and a fixed price.
• Week 2: first build, usually the chatbot or order flow, tested on your real messages.
• Weeks 3–4: CRM, follow-ups and reports, then a handover session with your team.

Most single automations go live in 7–14 days. If someone promises "everything in 48 hours", they're installing a template.

Where to start this week

Pick the one leak that hurts most. Count it: how many messages go unanswered after 10pm, how many COD parcels come back, how many leads never get a second call. That number is your baseline, and it's the number your agency should be judged on.
